What We're All About
Child Evangelism Fellowship is a Bible-centered organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living.

At this time, we do not have a Local Director. We are praying for God to direct us to the man or woman who would like to serve the children of Central Ohio in the Director position.

CEF of Greater Columbus is the local chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship in Central Ohio. Child Evangelism Fellowship is a Bible-centered, worldwide organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, disciple them in the Word of God and establish them in Bible believing churches for Christian living. Our desire is to partner with churches to carry out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20).
“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Child Evangelism Fellowship was founded in 1937 by J. Irvin Overholtzer. The vision that our founder had to reach the whole world is still alive today. CEF is the largest Christian ministry to children in the world. The local chapter of CEF has been reaching children for Christ in the Greater Columbus area since 1983. We serve the following eight counties of Ohio: Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Perry, Pickaway, and Union.
CEF cares about evangelizing children and helping them grow in Christ. Good News Clubs are at the heart of CEF ministries and meet once a week during the school year in public schools and other locations. In addition to Good News Clubs, CEF conducts summer 5-Day Clubs, county fair ministries, and a variety of training opportunities such as Christian Youth in Action.
We look to reach more children every day with the gospel. Our ultimate goal is to be in every school in our chapter’s area. Would you like to join us? The Lord is always looking for more people to help serve.
